Libraries are key players in the Help Point network, sharing the power of personalised playlists with people affected by dementia in their local communities.
liveArgyll libraries are one of over 60 library groups within the Playlist for Life Help Point network and share our resources throughout Argyll and Bute. The library team are very supportive of Playlist for Life, displaying printed resources in all libraries, helping us reach island communities through their venues on on Bute, Mull, Tiree and the mobile library on Islay.
In September, to highlight National Playlist Day, Dunoon Library hosted a Musical Tea and invited people from local care homes, befriending and carer groups.
“We had some tune-themed fun and a lovely afternoon ‘Musical Tea’ at Dunoon Library last week. Thank you to everyone at Cowal Elderly Befrienders who came along and Playlist for Life for providing wonderful resources.”

The 100 years book is a great resource. It sits central to the display in the library and will soon be dog eared. It creates many a conversation and, dare I say, many a sing-song!”
