Fundraise for Playlist for Life and help improve the lives of people living with dementia.

The Kiltwalk is back in 2025 with events in Glasgow, Aberdeen, Dundee and Edinburgh.

This is a great opportunity to fundraise for Playlist for Life as every penny raised will ensure our support is free to anyone facing dementia.

Harriet, previous Kiltwalker, said:

“My dad had dementia, and my husband’s dad had dementia. It was a long time ago, and there really wasn’t much support available. If there had been, it would have helped both our families, because, with dementia, while the person living with the condition struggles, the person looking after them struggles too.

To have had something like music, which can bring back a spark, would have been amazing.”

Why walk for playlist for life?

Playlist for Life is leading music and dementia charity in the UK. We have helped countless families over our 10 years through a network of community Help Points and many more through the over 8,000 trained health and care professionals.

But, we’re a small charity and the fundraising landscape is challenging.

We rely on generous donations to continue providing vital and free support to people living with dementia.

There’s no cure for dementia, but personally meaningful music can ease some of the most distressing symptoms, provide moments of joy and help families to connect.

"Playlist for Life is probably one of the the very few positive things that has happened in my husband’s life since his dementia took over."

Cathy, lived experience of dementia

Our impact

Up to 81,000 people supported. We’ve been changing lives for 10 years now.

2,478 Help Points are now sharing life-changing resources with families across the UK. Our resources are available in 12 languages

Over 8,000 staff trained across healthcare, social care and care in the community to use playlists as part of person-centred care.

Can your employer boost your sponsorship?

Some businesses have generous staff charity initiatives which include topping up the amount a team member raises for an organisation of their choice. If you’re taking part it’s worth checking what support your employer can offer to help us support the 900,000 people in the UK living with dementia.

You can also claim Gift Aid to enable 125% of your sponsorship to go toward harnessing the power of meaningful music for dementia.
