Playlist for Life is joining forces with some of our supporters for this year’s virtual Kiltwalk to raise awareness of the power of personalised playlists for people living with dementia.
With just one week to go, we’re well and truly in training mode!
To share the power of playlists with Kiltwalkers across the nation, we’ve curated a Kiltwalk Playlist to keep spirits high and create new memories as we complete the 26 mile challenge together. You can listen to the playlist below and download it for your own Kiltwalk challenge on our Spotify profile.

"I chose to fundraise for Playlist for Life as I have had great pleasure as a volunteer singing along with groups with dementia, including my mum who also has dementia, and I can see what the power of music can do to help us to connect and brings back lots of nice memories for everyone."

"Playlist for Life is a fantastic approach to helping people dealing with memory loss. My own mother had dementia in her latter years, and while the family knew she enjoyed a sing song along with her fellow residents in the care home, we didn’t realise the significance of musical memories at that time. The more resources this charity can have to promote and extend its work in all communities, the better."

"We understand the important role music plays in all our lives but particularly for families and friends living with dementia, as music can unlock doors of communication and create connections. The work Playlist for Life does to help people is inspiring, and we take ideas and suggestions from them to share with the families of our residents and patients regularly. We are excited to be joining in the fun and celebrating all things Scottish, as well as highlighting how far the staff in the Nursing Home walk throughout their busy days at work!"
