Another 100 communities now have access to information on getting started with playlists.
Playlist for Life HQ is buzzing with excitement! We have been working away on a few projects that we look forward to sharing with you, starting with the great work we’ve been doing with Alzheimer’s Society.
The entire team has been working hard to deliver face-to-face and online training to Alzheimer Society’s Dementia Advisers and Dementia Support Workers. These dedicated support workers provide people with dementia and their carers with high-quality, personalised post-diagnosis support and care. Our training will enable all 850 Dementia Advisers and Dementia Support Workers to explore a person’s life story and pick out the songs that make up their unique, personal playlist. They’ll advise people on getting the most out of their playlist and using their playlists safely.
We are very excited and proud of this training partnership. Our aim as a charity is ensuring that every person with dementia has a personal playlist with the soundtrack of this life, and we are now one -or rather, 850 steps closer to achieving that goal!
Alzheimer’s Society’s dementia advisers are available to anyone in England, Wales, or Northern Ireland affected by dementia. You can reach them at Alzheimer’s Society’s National Dementia Helpline on 0300 222 11 22.
